Description

"We all change, when you think about it, we’re all different people all through our lives, and that’s okay, that’s good, you gotta keep moving, so long as you remember all the people that you used to be. I will not forget one line of this, not one day, I swear, I will always remember when the Doctor was me.” --11th Doctor

And this is why I love Eleven. Why, [despite the many flaws it had] I loved the Christmas Special. Because of the WAY he left. What he taught me when he left-- and that high note he hit when he was regenerating. I think its safe to say that most all regenerations [save for the fantastic Nine.] ended where the Doctor was scared, in pain, despairing and confused-- maybe even with the ever-popular "I don't want to go". And I think we thought that Eleven, [being the lonely Doctor he was] was going to be the saddest of all-- but may I say that with those tears came a smile of mine. :) I was so delightfully content with how he regenerated-- it wasn't so extravagant or dramatic or weepy; I was just so happy that he found peace with who he was. That-- in those last moments, he was that Optimist he claimed he'd always be. That, as sad as the storyline of events he had were, he felt ok with not knowing what was going to happen next. I guess that's just the kind of stuff I like. :) It was personal, it was nostalgic, it was him touching all the memories, the pictures the children drew for him; how he kept every single one, touching them and hanging them up carefully--[I personally love picturing him telling any sort of story] and how he just.. lived a life, found a place where people needed him to stick around. I don't think I'll ever forget that. Moffat has made many mistakes; and perhaps in your opinion, he's ruined the show; But one thing he does-- and does very well, is give out those moments. Those parts with heart that you'll never forget. Those parts that you'll find saying to yourself in the future.

Well, that's enough of that. :) Many thanks for all the birthday wishes so far; I'm very humbled by a lot of the messages. I wanted to submit this one on my birthday, because It's sort of become a favorite of mine. Something about drawing things like a kid would, breaking out the crayons, coloring outside the lines that I love. :D I suppose its not so much about the art, but how it was made? I started drawing this on the 31st, and finished after the new year-- I guess it's a part of the past and the future! But really, thanks for all the wishes. I dearly appreciate it. :thanks:

Stories behind this artwork can be found here! --  Easter Eggs in the latest artwork!Hello! I thought I'd share a little of the story behind the latest artwork. :) (Smile)
It's chock-full of details, but I did not release it for download or large viewing [due to nasty thieve-y folks who can't keep their hands to themselves]
This artwork says "It's good to have a friend". :) (Smile) The story behind this little phrase is this: While I waited for the doors to open at the new years celebration we attended, this little girl was running around, she ran into me-- I gave her a smile and let her play with the little trinkets I carry around-- and after a while she gave it back, left with a friend of hers; and I asked 'is that your friend?' and she said "Yeah! It's good to have a friend, I can be yours too if you want!" and I just thought it was kind of sweet. :) (Smile)
This little number might look familiar to some. :D (Big Grin) If I wa

The style you have for this painiting does remind me so much of a AA Mille's work with how there is a sense of nostaligia in the painitng because there is a look of what we all saw the world as children. There is n innocent to this because the watercolor is a childlike feelthat it does allow one to feel like a child once again. As for the content, the fact Eleven is just at peace with himself instead of crying during his regeneration stage is optimistic and beautiful because this was a man who spent his entire life thinking he has ben a failure where I can't help but think sometimes of Let's Kill Hitler in which he saw his old compaions saying he ruined their lives and as a reculse after the Ponds left where he acknowledge that his life had matered. You can't help but feel happy that he had come to this point in his life and is accepting his change where we won't know what will happy to him but we look forward to it even if it is sad for us we know he will be fine. I saulate the Elventh Doctor for giving an idea on how death isn't scry but something to accept and embrace when it happens.
